The American Bulldog is a gorgeous breed in numerous beautiful colors and patterns. But most of these are considered rare or exotic instead of official coat colors for the breed.
The American Kennel Club (AKC) acknowledges white as the only standard color. They also register common variations like white & black, white & brindle, white & brown, and white & tan, but these are not considered standard.
The United Kennel Club (UKC) seems a little more liberal, accepting most colors, patterns, or color combinations. Still, there are restrictions as they don’t accept solid blue, solid black, tricolor, and merle patterns as the breed’s standard colors.
The average range for an American Bulldog puppy is between $1,200- and $2,000. However, the price could rise over $3000 or more for rare varieties like lilac and blue.
